Just arrived..

Summer 03, Liverpool

8 June 03-Arrived in Liverpool. It was a sunny Sunday. The city was quiet. Don't think could ever adapt. Already missed home. Wonder what everyone was doing back in PJ. 'Will they miss me as much?' I could only tell stories in my dear diary. My mind kept reflecting the moment I bid farewell to my dearest family members, especially dad. Gonna miss each of them. Loving mom, simple sis, cute nieces, grandma...
Not forgetting Fei, a person who loved and cared for me throughout my days in college. The most unforgiven incident was that I forgot to bid farewell to him. Not even a hug or a kiss goodbye. I just followed through the boarding gate with tears flooded in my eyes.
There were some photos taken in KL International Airport that day. Yeah, there were.. I will try to dig the hard copies, scan and share it here. (Sorry I did not have a digital camera back then. DO = Damn Outdated!)
Worst of all, being a well known careless girl among friends and relatives, I could afford to have left one of my luggage unclaimed at the Manchester Airport upon arrival. Still did not figure out how I could ever missed out the most important luggage bag; consists of contact lenses, solutions, shampoos from Professional Saloon, Darlie tootpaste, and most importantly my files and syllables for the semester! I have nothing to blame on.. I was just not capable enough to take care of 2 big luggages, 3 medium baggages, 1 backpack, and 1 handy sling bag. Total: 35.5kg (0.5kg excess was given FOC after the officer in KLIA sympathised with my effort of arranging, removing, and rearranging, and further removing items from my baggages).
Oh yeah, not forgetting to mention that my heart was still pumping extremely fast, even after being led to my seat in the aircraft. Reason being: I couldn't find my boarding pass and offer letter from the University. Finally recalled it could be in a friend's car, where he fetched me to collect the documents last Saturday. Indeed... it was found underneath the passenger's seat. Thereafter... my friend (who was reluctant to send me off), was forced to drive fast and furiously to KLIA...). Sorry Mr Danny Lim...
So this is the simple intro to the unsimple me.

Fried Pineapple and I

One might not understand why I love Fried Pineapple so much. This is why I'm laying down my thoughts and feelings, so that I can remind myself the reason why I love Fried Pineapple.

Story begins in 2003, summer.. in Liverpool, UK.
